so sad my local record store is closing down...

Thu May 29, 2008, 5:24 AM
it's now 50% off (the only good thing to come out of it), but I'll be screwed when it does close down, as I'll have to travel to get to my "local" record store. I'll miss the personal service they offered me. nowadays the main record stores dont import anymore.
This is the last record store within walking distance to my home. there used to be 3. this isnt even because of the state of the music industry, it's because the boss dedcided to move on. I even volunteered to work free for them 2 days a week, but to no avail.
Cant believe this is the end. :sadangel::saddrunk:

  • Mood: Pity
  • Listening to: my cds
  • Watching: my local record store close down.
  • Playing: my cds
  • Drinking: alcohol when the record store closes down

That's too bad. Maybe it's those darn mp3's....
You could always buy cd's (and imports) online though (but unforunately, you won't be able to get the personalized service back)

those darn mp3's have less quality to them. I guess that the death of the physical cd release is pending. It will be sad a day when/if that happens.

Glitter wasnt as bad as it seemed, see paragraph 5: [link]
I sure hope they don't die. I guess it could be relegated to a tiny niche market and stay alive that way. There were enough crazy videophiles to keep laserdisc around, so there's probably enough crazy audiophiles (like myself) to keep cd's around :)
